The more muscle you have the more calories you will burn even when at rest.

Food can be wonderful or plain awful. At its best, it nourishes us, gives us energy and delights our taste buds. At its worst it clogs up our arteries, fills our bodies with unwanted toxins and makes us fat.

The secret of losing weight is to choose the delicious natural healthy kind and to eat just enough of it so you feel great.

But with so much awful food on offer out there, it's easier said than done.

Instead we have major food manufacturers with big budgets pushing snacks we can do without and products loaded with thickeners, sweeteners, salt, corn syrup, mechanically recovered meat, preservatives and every other semi-edible chemical known to man.

Sure, the food tastes Ok - after all it's full of sugars (or artificial sweeteners) and salt for that very reason. Food manufacturers aim to bring you palatable food otherwise you wouldn't buy it. But it has to turn in a huge profit too so they pile in preservatives to give it a long shelf life and use the cheapest ingredients they can get away with, padding them out with fillers. But is that really how you want to nourish your body?

If you buy cakes and cookies, snacks and processed foods without thinking about what you are really putting into your body, you are doing your health a huge disservice and playing right into the hands of the food manufacturers. You are paying good money for food which has no value to your health and questionable ingredients which you really don't want to feed anyone you care about (including you!)

Now there are some good processed foods out there - but you do have to seek them out - they are not the major profit producers of the big advertisers. Most of the advertising money goes into persuading us to purchase vast quantities of worthless soft drinks, chocolate bars and salty snacks.

Read the label on any product you're considering buying to check that the ingredients include only those items you would use if you were making the product at home. If there's anything that sounds like it belongs in a chemical laboratory leave it on the shelf and choose something else.

And whatever you choose make sure that you accompany it with ample fresh vegetables or salad - very few processed foods will contain adequate amounts of these. After your meal, if you need anything else, swap sugar and sweetener-laden profit-making desserts and cakes for fresh fruit.

Even better than being highly selective in the processed food you buy, get a good cook book full of healthy delicious recipes and learn to make fantastic food for you and your family. Enjoy the whole process of nourishing yourself and the ones you love from fresh basic good quality ingredients. Taste the difference and you'll never look back.

When buying a Hoodia product it may be wise to look for the "manufacturer" of the brand for a clue to the quality.

There are 20+ species of Hoodia plants and only the Gordonii species has been studied as it contains potent amounts of the active appetite suppressing molecule, P57. It is possible for a Hoodia brand to contain 100% Pure Hoodia but be worthless as an appetite suppressant if it is not the Gordonii species of Hoodia. With the very inexpensive brands, there is no doubt that they contain an ineffective type of Hoodia. True Kalahari Hoodia Gordonii is expensive. The old saying "You get what you pay for", was never truer when it comes to buying Hoodia.

Don't let the price be the only guiding factor in your decision. You don't have to spend a fortune to get a quality premium product. There certainly are some hefty price tags on many of the most popular Hoodia brands. A good choice can be to by a private label brand that is from a reputable manufacture. There are some very high quality private label brands if you do your homework and look for them.

So More important than the brand is the manufacturer of the product. One such manufacturer is Advanced Dietarty Formulas. They use authentic South African Kalahari Hoodia Gordonii in there diet supplements. The cost of the product will vary depending on the number of tablets or capsules per bottle and the size (dose) of the tablets. They are following the trend and have several brands that are equally of high quality.

Are you using your imagination to manifest everything you want? Do you envision abundance flowing to you? Remember the mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined? Act as if!

Scripting is a powerful way to do this. In the book, Ask and It is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks, there is an activity where scripting is done to bring you the people or things you desire. I'm going to illustrate the ideas from this book as I've been doing this and more and more things are coming my way. Powerful? Absolutely!

"If something that you desire is not coming, it can only be that you are not allowing it to come because of the thoughts you practice that are contrary to your own desire. Nothing else prohibits you from realizing your dream." Wow! Are you getting it that YOUR thoughts are bringing you what you focus on?

This is taken from the book verbatim.

"Here's how the scripting process works. Pretend that you are a writer and that whatever you write will be performed exactly as you write it. Your only job is to describe, in detail, everything, exactly as you want it to be.

As you are having fun playing the game, and are not taking it too seriously, any of your hindering beliefs are less likely to be activated. In other words, by pretending that your computer or notebook is magical, and that whatever you desire can be realized, you accomplish the two things that are necessary in the achievement of anything: You focus the lens of your desire, and you offer no resistance.

You literally script any life that you desire, and the Universe will deliver to you the people, places and events just as you decide them to be. For you are the creator of your own experience--you have only to decide it and allow it to be."

Here's what I do. I write my own screenplay with me as the main character. Okay, I've always had an affinity to be on stage and this way I get to be the star. I write the screen play, the conversations, including the other actors exactly how I intend them. I use my imagination to envision all of it; it's really fun to do this. I've had the exact conversations that I envision. It is truly amazing!

I'll be honest here. I do let my imagination run wild sometimes when I'm in the mood to play as I script. George Clooney is one of the actors I put in my screenplay. We look into each other's eyes and then..... I think you get the picture. Won't it be fun to see when I actually meet him?

If there is something that you desire that has not yet come to fruition, scripting is a very powerful way to speed it up.

Now, your turn. You are the star of your own movie. Pick one area of your life that you want to write a screenplay and start writing. Have fun with the process and don't get caught up with, "I can't envision me as a sexy, vibrant person." Oh, YES, you can! Keep the vibration at a higher level for you are to born to manifest all that is wonderful. Remember it doesn't have to be a long process, but the most important thing is "let go." Keep scripting daily. I would love to hear what manifests as a result for you.

Anchors are the reasons that attach you to any behavior. Your anchors originated from extremely strong repetitive memory associations, which are triggered by your five senses of hearing, vision, smell, taste, and touch. You are constantly being anchored in different ways through out your life. For example, when you hear a certain song and it brings back a memory of a certain person, or a place in time, this is an audio anchor or an anchor triggered by your sense of hearing.

Have you ever met someone for the first time and noticed that something about them reminds you of someone or something else? This is a visual anchor or an anchor triggered by your sense of sight. Until now all of your anchors have been installed in your subconscious mind by someone else or by accident and in most cases you were not even aware of them. Now for the first time through the process of Burris MIND/FITNESS, you can learn how to anchor a reaction or behavior you want on purpose and consistently get the results you want over and over, until you are assured of attaining your weight goal.

It is important to understand that your subconscious mind can be triggered into a negative anchored behavior without even pausing to consider what it is doing. In most cases you will look for what you refer to as your comfort foods, which is anything that is high in sugar, fat or both. Let us say you come across a bag of cookies, without any hesitation you eat one and before you realize it, you are eating the whole bag. Sometime during this ?No Thought Eating? binge your conscious mind awakens to what is taking place. You stop your eating binge and now along with feeling fearful, guilty, angry, or bored; you are also probably a little nauseous. The first thought that pops into your mind is: ?Why Did I Eat That? I wasn?t even hungry!? How many times have you asked yourself this self-defeating negative question ?Why Did I Eat That??

The second you asked yourself this question, your subconscious mind is triggered into action to find an answer, which in turn produces a correlating picture.
