Three Steps to Technological Weight Loss Success.

Let's face it. In today's world, you're literally "lost" without some form of technology on your side.

And it's no different for the war on weight loss. Body fat accumulation continues to be a major challenge, especially in America, where the availability of a comfortable lifestyle also comes with inherent stress and burdening psychological and social responsibilities.

Does anyone really know how to lose weight successfully in only three steps? The best answer to that question would be, to know how to choose the RIGHT three steps and perform them effectively.

Losing weight has been, and will virtually always be a multi-step process. This remains true primarily because because there is no one, single factor that you can lean on to lose weight. Body fat, weight management, and their associated composition depend upon a myriad of personalized factors, including heredity, hormonal disposition, character, social responsibility, and stress reaction profile. Don't forget the obvious ones, like food intake and energy expenditure... and even the time of day! And, circadian rhythms play a part in weight control as well.

With all this in mind, weight loss comes down to three simple steps:

1. Physically... Cap your calorie intake while simultaneously increasing your energy expenditure. Employ a specialized or personal computerized calorie counter software program to complete this task more fluently. That will give you technological advantage, as well as traditional weight management factual support.

2. Intellectually... "Learn more," especially about those seemingly "little" things that add and detract from overall weight loss accomplishment. Such items include: target heart rate training, and supplemental bioavailability (usually not efficient enough to make a major impact on weight loss ability, yet so many think otherwise, and practically depend on nutritional supplementation to lose weight).

- Lastly there's the concept of pushing yourself to a more highly intense physical threshold and following up those days with sufficient "rest." You do this because fitness gains are made primarily during the "resting" phase. Exercise itself is merely a signal of intent to better one's body, or the "request" for these changes to begin.

3. Socially... From now on, be more highly aware that losing weight leans inclusively upon social factors. Perhaps equally as well as the physical and intellectual factors above, your social circumstances and disposition can have a "make-you or break-you" effect on your weight loss outcome.

Whether you might realize it or not, losing weight requires you to make one, big decision about how you'll get it done. Either you may consciously choose to go it alone, or you might subconsciously seek an ally, friend, coworker, family member, or professional help to achieve your desired weight loss results. The previous choice may also occur in reverse manner. That is, your choice may alternate between being an intentional one or an unintentional one.

Yet, regardless, this social decision still must be made because we live in a society filled with people, and people exert pressure upon the actions we choose to perform, either by indicating their approval and support, or by knowingly or unknowingly attempting to undermine your exhibited decisions and activities. In that regard, it's up to you to establish the control, and lead the way toward your achievement.

How does technology play into this one? Now, you can use an on-line support program to lose weight, complete with calorie counter energy balance information and technique enhancement, motivational expertise, plus exercise program design and planning with implementation and instruction. Thus, even when all else fails, your social support can still come from a caring, online weight loss specialist.

To summarize... it usually takes at least three steps to accomplish virtually any worthwhile goal.... some type of preparation, some type of attack, and some type of follow-through even after you accomplish your mission.

The three things that affect weight loss so highly often exist in an inconspicuous manner. Thus, it is very easy to allow such contributing factors to slip by unnoticed. Yet, they remain crucial concepts because mastering them means you much better determine your level of weight loss success. So, use this "combination of three" and take advantage of previously dormant weight loss possibilities.

Weight Loss Foods

The body's metabolism is like an engine, when we consume food it is the body's metabolism that determines whether to store it, use it for energy, or create waste product of what cannot be used. People become fat due to several reasons. These reasons include too much intake of food which gets stored in the body in the form of fat; inactivity of the body or a slow metabolism rate due to which the food consumed is not burnt; or a medical problem.

It is often believed that the way to loose weight is by reducing the food intake. But what if you are told that there are foods that help fuel weight loss? That's right, foods can change one's metabolism and certain fat burning foods can even flush out the fat in the body. It is not only cutting on your diet that helps in loosing weight, even increasing your metabolism will do the trick.

The weight loss foods include:

Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits like, lemons, tangerines, oranges, and grapefruit contain a high concentration of Vitamin C which has a fat burning quality. Vitamin C reduces the content of fat and can liquefy or dilute fat. When fat gets diluted it becomes less effective and gets easily flushed out of your body.

Vitamin C also helps in burning cholesterol as a result prevents cholesterol deposits from forming in blood vessels. Adding Citrus Fruits to your diet will help in increasing your metabolism and the ability to get rid of fat. It also helps in keeping a check on cholesterol levels.

Apples, Berries, Fresh Fruits

Apples contain a chemical called Pectin. Pectin is also found in most berries and fresh fruits. Pectin has the ability to limit the amount of fat that the cells absorb. It also has the water binding property and absorbs watery substances. These watery substances bombard the cells and make them release fat deposits.

Make use of the power of Pectin by adding Apples, Berries and fresh fruits to your diet. It is said that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, now you also know it also keeps fat away!

Garlic Oil

Garlic juice or garlic oil has a protective quality towards cells and helps in reducing the fat deposits. As a result when garlic is taken it reduces the level of fat in the body. Garlic can also be used to cure many ailments due to its antibiotic property. Including Garlic in your diet helps in fighting bacterial infections and also reducing fat in the cells.

Soybeans

Soybeans contain a chemical called Lecithin which shields cells in the body from accumulation fat. As a result it prevents fat from forming in the cells and also breaks down the fat deposits in the body. Consuming Soybeans three times a week will help boost the body's ability to get rid of fat tremendously.

Apart from all these foods if you include appetite suppressants like Adipex, Phentermine or Xenical to your diet you will be on the fast track of loosing weight. The foods listed above will increase your metabolism and drugs like Phentermine will help you eat less. You will manage to loose weight at a speed you would have never imagined.

Why You Are Fat - Natural Weight Loss Dieting Program

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

Have you ever wondered why you are fat and have considered going on a weight loss dieting program? If you did, then you must know why certain food makes you fat.

Most if not all of us are somewhat carbohydrate addicts. We have pastas, pizzas, white rice, spaghettis, bread, refined flour food and confectionaries in almost if not all our meals. Just look at the queues at the fast food joints on a regular day and you will know what I mean. Bread and sweet sugary drinks are the menu of the day, naturally.

Some of us are reluctant to embark on a weight loss dieting program to lose that excess baggage (body fat) because we think it is an exercise in sheer willpower and futility.

"You are asking me not to eat bread/rice/pizzas/hamburgers, chocolates and ice-creams my entire life? You must be nuts!" Sounds familiar? For those who incessantly snack on biscuits and chocolates between meals to stave off hunger while working at the office, here is why.

You unwittingly and naturally reach for such snacks because of the food you chose to eat earlier at an earlier meal. If you start the day with three or four slices of white bread spread with fruit jam or margarine and then wash it down with coffee and sugar, you can be sure you will be craving for snacks by mid-morning even though your breakfast was a filling one.

When your food made up primarily of carbohydrate, especially refined carbohydrate like white bread and pizzas, with little protein or fat, not to mention high in sugar, your blood glucose surges crazily following that meal.

To counter the effect of extreme glucose surge in your blood stream, your pancreas will pump more insulin than usual to bring your blood glucose level down. What happens then is that your blood glucose surges will then dip lower than your pre-meal level. When this happens, you start to get hungry and crave for more sweet stuff and more carbohydrate. This is why you reach for sweet snacks and drinks instinctively. Thus the vicious cycle continues again and again and you are eating more and more calories. So choosing the food in your meal is important so that you will not get hungry fast and then consume more calories to satisfy that hunger upsetting your natural weight loss dieting program.

When more carbohydrate is consumed than can be stored by your liver and muscles as glycogen, they are naturally converted to fat. So what should you do?

Well, you can start to limit your carbohydrate consumption (note that I said limit and not stop) and on top of that, choose slow digesting carbohydrates especially carbohydrate with fibers like fibrous vegetables, fruits, legumes, brown rice and brown bread, your insulin spike will not be so eccentric and therefore you will not get hungry or having your sweet tooth so often.

Now think about it, if you do not reach for your snacks and sugary drinks that often, it means that you are consuming fewer calories. So if your caloric consumption is less than your caloric expenditure, you are right on a natural weight loss dieting program without even realizing it. Better still, you are not going on a hunger and starvation diet because you will not get hungry that easily.

Just imagine now that you are losing weight naturally, what if you incorporate an exercise routine into your natural weight loss dieting program to burn off some more calories? Your natural weight loss result will be amazing wouldn't it?

Now that you know why you are fat, let's get started on this natural weight loss dieting program.

Writing For Your Weight Loss Success

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

Motivation is one of the key variables for the equation that yields long term weight loss success. The question is how do you maintain the motivation to attain the ultimate goal? Regardless if your weight loss goal is 20 pounds or 100 pounds you must change your thinking to change your behavior and writing makes that happen.

Weight loss really does begin in your head. Every successful athlete understands that his thinking process is either working for him or against him. The same holds true with weight loss. If your internal dialogue is negative, your results will eventually manifest the same result! You can?t degrade yourself to a healthy new you! You must change your thinking to work for you, to build your resolve, and to maintain that all important motivational factor.

Writing is an exercise that will help your mind change its thinking! It allows you to process the negative emotions and helps to instill the positive changes. Start with these simple exercises:

1. The Negative Emotions Daily Dump: Many success coaches advocate writing out your negative thinking on a daily basis. Simply spend approximately 15 minutes writing out all the frustrations, bad feelings, and discouragement. This helps you to process these bad feelings out of your system so that you can make room for positive affirmations. Do not reread the entries and do not keep them. Write it out, and then throw it out. We call this the Negative Emotions Daily Dump.

2. Affirm Your Goals: Prepare a list of affirmations that will help your subconscious work with your conscious brain to make those all important behavioral changes. Then write your affirmations at least twice a day. Write them once after you have written your Negative Emotions Daily Dump. Don?t do the Negative Dump without filling it with the positive affirmations. You should always end with this. Write the second set of affirmations either right before you go to bed or first thing in the morning. Read your affirmations several times a day.

3. Understand your Motivations: In order to stay motivated you must understand your real reasons for losing weight. In other words, understand why YOU want to lose weight. Not why your spouse or friends want you to lose weight but why losing the weight is important to you. Do you really want more energy? Do you just love skinny clothes? Do you want to participate in an activity that would be easier if you were slim and healthy? Write these motivations out in detail so that you can solidify them in your head and they can continue to motivate you through the entire weight loss journey.

4. Accountability: Keep a food diary. Keeping a food diary has been proven time and time again to increase your weight loss success by as much as 50%! A food log is your accountability factor. It keeps you honest with yourself.

5. Visualize: Visualize yourself enjoying the portions of your weight loss program that you are currently struggling to do. For instance if you hate the cardio portion of your day, start seeing yourself loving it. See it as ??your time?. It can be your time to read while you?re on the stationary bike. Or your time to watch all those movies you feel guilty watching any other time. Once you begin to visualize positive feelings about a certain activity the easier that activity will become.

6. The Pat-On-The-Back: Keep a written log of your weight loss success. By writing down your weight loss on a weekly basis you are validating your efforts and giving yourself a pat-on-the-back. This will go a long way to keeping you on track.

Keep in mind that if you are utilizing the assistance of a personal fitness trainer or weight loss professional that they may use techniques to help you face your self-defeating habits. This might feel harsh and negative, however it isn?t. Honesty is necessary to motivate change and this is different than running yourself down! Sometimes we have to hear the hard words to make the hard changes. Keep in mind that these professionals are seeking your ultimate success. Your success is their success. Let?s face it, the weight gain started with you and to change that behavior you may have to deal with some uncomfortable feelings. A good trainer will help you feel cared about while still insisting that you deal with your bad habits. It?s a good thing to be pushed past your comfort zone to becoming a better you!

Writing is the new ?exercise? that can make all the rest of your weight loss efforts including good nutrition, exercise, and resistance training work for you because you will be working with these principles instead of against them. You will start seeing these weight loss techniques as a positive and permanent part of your life, instead of a temporary device. That will result in faster results that last forever!

Hydration and Weight Loss

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

Think drinking water isn't important in your weight loss efforts? Think again. We all know the importance of diet and exercise but what about hydration? The human body is approximately 80% water, if you intend to improve your body, you need to remember the basics.

The average person needs to drink about 2L [64oz] of water a day. If you drink coffee [or other heavily caffeinated drinks such as Coke or Pepsi] you should add an extra glass of water for every glass you have. There are other variables you need to consider as well, such as people who live in hotter climates will need to drink more then the base 2 litres a day then someone living in a colder region.

If you are walking or doing exercise like cardio or weights you need to be increasing your water intake. The sweat produced from these activities helps keep your core body temperature constant, you need to replace the water used. Basically the more you do the more water you need to keep hydrated.

But be careful

It is possible to drink too much water - you can get 'water intoxication' [that can lead to death] In the US, college students were dying as they were consuming mass amounts [gallons] of water as part of some frat initiations. Some symptoms of too much water are: dizziness, nausea, apathy, vomiting, and confusion [much the same as dehydration so you need to be aware of how much you are actually drinking]. The excess water dilutes the salt content in the blood which can result in serious problems, including death.

Remember you also get water from most fruits and veggies as well as other foods not just drinking actual water

Personally, I've noticed when I've drunk too much water I tend to feel very bloated and sluggish. I noticed this when I was drinking "8 cups a day", hence why I now carry a water bottle instead, I'll just take a sip now and then rather then force myself to drink cup/s of water. Listen to YOUR body - it'll let you know when you've haven't had enough or too much.

Don't like the taste of water?

Then try adding a little twist to it. Add some lemon or lime juice into your water [freshly squeezed is the best] it will add a little flavour to the water and can help if you are used to drinking flavoured drinks.

Not enough for you?

Still not convinced that drinking water is good for you? Then have a look at these other great benefits:

Water contains no calories [flavoured water - ie sports water, added lemon juice - does contain some calories, check the Nutritional Info on the bottle.]

Drinking water also helps the skin look great. It can help keep you looking more youthful and helps with its elasticity - which is really good for those trying to lose weight.

Keeping hydrated helps keep your hair looking healthy.

And finally, drinking more water can help boost your energy levels.

Walk Your Way To Fitness, Health And Weight Loss

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

There is no way around it, if you want to lose weight you have to be active. Recently a study was done focusing on people who owned dogs. It was found that the dog-owners, who were obliged to take their dogs for a walk every day, lost up to 14 pounds because of this extra activity. 14 pounds is more or less the amount of weight that is lost in most weight loss programs.

So what can we learn from this study? That you have to get a dog to lose weight? No, the study shows that just a little bit of extra walking can make a big difference.

Examine your current life style. Do you walk a few steps to your car in the morning, and then arrive at work and walk a few more steps to your office or workplace and then sit down? Do you walk a few more steps at the end of the work day to reach your car, where you sit and drive home. Do you then walk from the car to the house and enjoy dinner and spend the rest of the evening watching TV? If your life is like this, or resembles this sedentary pattern, then you have to do something about it.

You can sign up for some exercise classes. Join a sports league. Get some fitness equipment and do workouts. You can go jogging on a regular basis. These are some of the usual means of adding activity to modern life styles.

But if you are not the athletic type there are simpler ways to do it, similar to the dog walking. Here are a few ways to add the extra exercise to your present life:

1. Walk whenever you can

If you have an errand that can be done by walking, then leave your car in the garage and walk to fetch your child, buy a loaf of bread or drop a letter in a mailbox

2. After dinner take a walk

An old proverb says "After lunch, rest a while. After dinner, walk a mile". If you haven't gotten any exercise during your daytime activities then go for a walk after dinner. It will help you to digest your evening meal, which is extremely important for your overall well being, and it will help you to burn some calories as well

3. Skip the elevator, escalator and moving walkways

Instead of using the elevator for one or two flights of stairs, use your feet! In the airport, walk to the next gate instead of getting on the moving walkway.

4. Get a dog!

Why not? If you like animals, then the time you take to walk your dog will help you a lot.

How much walking is necessary? If you walk around 45 minutes every day then you will keep fit and lose weight. If you walk 60 minutes every day you will probably live to be 100.Dada Vedaprajinananda is yoga teacher and writer. Set Realistic Weight Loss Goals

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

How much weight do you want to lose? Are you being realistic about how long it will take to achieve your weight loss goal?

When someone has decided to lose weight, one of the first things that person should do is set a goal weight or an ideal weight.

Unfortunately, when most people decide to lose weight, they are not being realistic about how much weight to lose and how long it will take them to lose that weight. For many, their 'ideal weight' may be the wrong weight for them to be aiming for

The sad fact is, years of being overweight and jumping from one fad diet to another may have confused your mind and body about what is truly your ideal weight. One of the major problems comes from a lack of understanding about metabolism. If you've been overweight for a very long time, or if you've consistently 'yo-yoed', your body may respond to your initial weight loss by slowing down its metabolism because it believes that you are starving to death. This slowing down of your metabolism leads to discouraging plateaus that often knock people off their diets entirely, and lead to regaining all or part of the lost weight.

Many weight loss experts today recommend aiming for shorter-term, more attainable weight loss goals. Since the bulk of diet research shows that most dieters lose weight steadily for about 12 weeks, then hit a plateau, that's the number of weeks that the weight loss experts suggest you should aim for. The weight loss strategy that many have found works best for them is one of alternating periods of weight loss and maintenance, each lasting 8-12 weeks.

The strategy calls for choosing a realistic weight loss goal for an 8-12 week period. Knowing that the most reasonable and healthiest weight loss rate is 1-2 pounds per week, losing 25 pounds in three months is not unrealistic. You should be on your weight loss diet until you reach that goal, or for 12 weeks, whichever comes first, and then switch to a maintenance diet.

Why switch to a maintenance diet at that point?

Simple, you're giving yourself a break from more restrictive eating. More importantly though, you are re-educating your body and letting it establish a new starting point. Once you've maintained your new weight for 8-12 weeks, set another weight loss goal, and move back into weight loss mode. By giving your body a break from 'starvation', you'll have overcome its resistance to weight loss.

You'll also be giving yourself a chance to 'practice' maintaining your new, healthier weight. Researchers have found that more than half of the dieters who take off significant amounts of weight do not maintain that weight loss once they go 'off' their diet. By practicing weight maintenance in stages, you'll be proving to yourself that you can lose weight and maintain that weight loss over a period of time.

This weight loss plan will work with any long-term weight loss diet. You'll find dieting and reaching your weight loss goal much easier to do if you choose a diet that has concrete 'phases', such as the South Beach or the Atkins diet, since the weight loss and maintenance phases are clearly laid out for you to follow. Regardless of the diet you choose, though, by alternating between weight loss phases and maintenance phases, you'll teach yourself and your body how to maintain a healthy weight.

Shopping Your Way to Weight Loss

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

While shopping may not qualify as an aerobic activity, it can certainly help you to shed the pounds, if you follow the right formula. What you buy largely determines what you will eat. Therefore, if you want to maintain a healthy diet at home, you'll need to do some advanced planning before heading out to the supermarket.

The secret to weight loss may begin with your shopping list. You need to take some time before going to the store to assess what your nutritional needs are. For instance, a healthy diet might very well include breads and cereals, dairy products, vegetables and fruits, along with meat, fish and poultry. However, you'll need to decide on exactly which products to buy within each food category.

For instance, rather than purchasing white bread or cereals with little fiber, consider whole wheat bread and whole wheat cereals. Pass up the whole milk and whole milk yogurt and buy non-fat milk and yogurt instead. You should avoid iceberg lettuce and opt for Romaine; select fresh fruit rather than fruit in heavy syrup. You may be tempted to buy fried chicken, bacon or spareribs, but choose low-fat options such as baked chicken, lean hamburger, and grilled fish.

It's a good idea to go grocery shopping after you have eaten a full meal. Otherwise, your hunger could drive you to buy junk food and other unhealthy snacks. If you are operating on a full stomach, you'll think more clearly and you will be less likely to buy food impulsively. Also, it is critically important that you do not buy more food than you need. Otherwise, you will have a powerful incentive to overeat.

Before you go shopping, you might want to check out the layout of the supermarket. Find out where you can find those items that are likely to appear on your list. Otherwise, you could find yourself browsing the shelves, looking for food that appears interesting--but could also be quite fattening. Certainly, it may take some extra time to "scope out" the supermarket, but it will be well worth the effort, if it results in weight loss.

Whenever possible, you should buy individually packaged food. These single servings allow you to maintain proper portion control. For instance, if you feel you must indulge in potato chips, you will be far better off if you buy a single-serving bag rather than the family pack. Remember, large portions equal weight gain.

You might actually want to avoid shopping with coupons. Coupons can tempt you to buy high-calorie items that you might otherwise pass up. While everyone wants a good bargain, you don't want to end up paying for that deal by gaining additional pounds. It's a sad fact that you will rarely find a coupon for fresh fruit and vegetables. But you might think of the situation this way: You will end up saving money if you eat "fresh" because you will not have to invest in additional clothes.

Also, when you're considering which foods to buy, concentrate on the product labels. There, you'll find a great deal of nutritional information, indicating fat content, calorie content, portion size, and vitamin and mineral content. If you end up bringing the product home, you should serve the item according to the suggested portion size. In other words, if a portion equals one-half cup, don't opt for two cups. In essence, you should be treating food as if it's a medication that must be used as directed. In this way, you should avoid the weight loss that comes with overeating.

It is interesting to note that the American Institute for Cancer Research determined that only 12 percent of shoppers determined portion size by using the label. As a result, paying attention to nutrition labels is a counter-cultural thing to do. But it is certainly a good habit to get into. Otherwise, at the end of the day, you could end up with far more fat than you bargained for.

You may be amazed at the amount of weight you can lose just by diligent shopping. A little advanced planning can go a long way to ensuring weight loss. And you might actually save yourself some money, since you will no longer be buying expensive snacks.

Weight Loss Tip : Five Minutes is Better than No Minutes

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

If you want to lose weight don't be put off exercise by seemingly impossible regimes. Start wherever you are with exercise on your weight loss program.

Starting an exercise routine for weight loss can be daunting. Many exercise programs expect you to put everything aside to follow some kind of physical activity for an hour, five times a week. How will you ever fit that in? How will you ever have the strength and energy to keep going that long when the most you've ever done before is a brisk walk between the sofa and the fridge?

But you don't have to start with a full-blown exercise routine. If an hour seems impossible, set aside half an hour. If that looks too much, just start with 10 minutes or even 5.

Any exercise is better than no exercise at all when it comes to weight loss!

Obviously check with your doctor before you start with any kind of exercise or weight loss program, but most people can manage to walk at a moderate pace for 5 minutes. Maybe once you're up and doing it, you'll feel like more. Maybe not. You never know until you try. Pat yourself on the back for the 5 minutes you've done.

After a few days of walking for 5 minutes, see if you can manage 10. Feeling the benefit of 5 minutes, you'll probably find that you want to do this. And let's face it most of us can find that amount of time each day to improve our health. If you truly can't fit that in, then you have real problems and not just with your weight!

Continue to add in as much time as you can. And once you've really no time to do more, increase your speed little by little. Enjoy the level you can achieve, whatever that is. Feel good about yourself again, rather than berating yourself for not being able to do an hour a day.

Exercise on your own terms. You know your body and its capabilities, your life style and what you can manage, more than any of the diet and exercise gurus out there.

Just don't use the impossibility of a full-blown exercise routine as an excuse not to bother with any at all. You owe it to yourself to do the best you can for your weight loss efforts and if that starts with 5 minutes that's great - you're on your way to a fitter, slimmer lifestyle.

Restriction Operations For Weight Loss

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

Weight loss surgeries are becoming extremely popular nowadays for guaranteed weight loss. Restriction operations are one such option which is most often used for weight loss. Under this form of surgery all our food intake is restricted by creating a small pouch at the top of the stomach where the food enters from the esophagus. Due to the small size of the outlet, the process of emptying of food is delayed from the pouch and causes a feeling of fullness. This process makes us eat less thus helping in the weight loss process.

Restriction operations are normally of two types - gastric banding and vertical banded gastroplasty. Both the types of operations serve only to restrict food intake without interfering our normal digestive process.

In the procedure of gastric banding, a band made of special material is placed around the stomach near its upper end, creating a small pouch and a narrow passage into the larger remainder of the stomach. According to researchers, it might be possible in the near future to perform gastric banding with smaller incisions through a laparoscope. A laparoscope refers to a flexible fiber optic tube and light source through which some surgical instruments may be passed. Laparoscopic gastric banding has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration so far.

The procedure of Vertical banded gastroplasty is the most common and frequently used restrictive operation for weight control. Under this procedure, both a band and staples are used to create a small stomach pouch for restriction of our food intake. The best part about restrictive operations is that it leads to weight loss in almost all patients. However, weight regain does occur in some patients. Still, some patients are unable to adjust their eating habits and fail to lose the desired weight as in all weight-loss operations, successful results depends on the motivation of the person opting for it.Stuart William is a contributing author to the http://Phenterminehome.com for distinct article sites/journals. Mind Over Matter: Your Key to Weight Loss Success

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

Katie, a 33-year-old mother of two, has been on her share of diets over the years. From Weight Watchers to the Zone to Sugar Busters, she feels as if she has tried them all. While she has had moderate success in losing weight from time to time, she has never found a long-term weight loss solution. Her weight is a point of contention in her marriage; her husband--who also happens to be obese--wishes she were thin, but says he loves her anyway. The two have been separated a number of times, and even filed for divorce once. The stress has caused Katie to begin binge eating again.

There is hope for Katie and others like her who feel as if they're trapped on the diet carousel. The key to long-term weight loss success may not be the body, but the mind. Research indicates that those who have a positive outlook on life are more likely to lose weight--and stay thin. But how can you have a positive outlook when you've been burned so many times before? Is it possible to "will your way" to losing weight?

One technique that has been proven effective in sports training is something called visualization. For instance, a baseball player might visualize his bat connecting with a ball, leading to a homerun. A soccer player might visualize kicking the winning goal in a soccer match. And a golfer might visualize sinking the winning putt in the Masters Tournament.

The same technique can be used by dieters. Visualize yourself as thin. Picture yourself in that dress that is now two sizes too small. Imagine stepping onto the scale and being pleased with the result. Visualize yourself saying "no" to that piece of chocolate cake or that plate of Fettucini Alfredo. These mind exercises can help to spur you onto weight loss.

When people learn they are suffering from cancer, they are encouraged to imagine their cancer cells being destroyed by healthy cells. You can follow the same technique in order to lose weight. That means imagining your fat cells being destroyed by thin cells. Through such a method, you can "think your way" to a healthy weight.

In addition, it is critically important that you maintain a positive attitude. Be forgiving of yourself. If you veer off your diet plan, simply get back on course with your next meal. Don't spend precious time "beating yourself up" over your failures. Instead, celebrate your successes--in a non-fattening way. For instance, when you reach a milestone--say you've lost ten pounds--reward yourself with a trip to an art museum or to your favorite coffee shop (but skip the cream and sugar). Marking milestones will give you a sense of accomplishment, a sense that you are triumphing over food.

Another helpful technique can be prayer or meditation. Some support groups even offer Bible-based weight loss programs that use scripture verses to help inspire. Taking stock of your life and handing your weight loss problems over to a higher power can be cathartic and may give you a sense of peace about your weight difficulties. It has been said that a clear head leads to a healthy body. Try praying or meditating ten minutes at the start of your day. Chances are you will feel refreshed and ready to tackle the weight challenges that come your way.

Yet another technique you might consider is role-playing. Grab your spouse or a friend and ask him or her to act out a situation in which you might be tempted to overeat. You'll be forced to come up with strategies to fight temptation. This rehearsal could prove to be quite helpful when a real life diet dilemma comes your way. If role-playing works for job interviews, it should be beneficial for your weight as well.

Mind over matter is not just a clever saying. It can actually be the solution to your weight loss problems. By using your brain power, you can develop the techniques needed to make healthy food choices. When your mind and your body are both healthy, you have the best of both worlds.

Keep Yourself Motivated: The Key for Weight Loss Success

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

If you are attempting to fight fat, it is simply not enough to begin an exercise program. You must also be able to stick with it. This can be challenging, especially if you have spent most of your life as a couch potato. You may find exercise to be boring or a chore. And you may be wondering whether your exercise program is really worth the effort.

It should be noted that the key to a successful exercise program is perseverance. This means that you need to commit to it for the long haul--in fact, it is best if you commit to it for the rest of your life. Certainly, it can be difficult at times. But in the end, it is well worth the effort you exert.

Staying motivated may begin with having a tangible goal. For instance, if you are basically inactive when you start your program, you should aim to burn off 500 calories a week. If you are fairly active when you start exercising, your goal should be 1,000 calories. But you must also have a long-term goal. This might be doubling the amount of calories you burn within six months of commencing your exercise program.

You might consider starting an exercise log. Here, you will record exactly what kind of aerobic, anaerobic, and stretching exercises you do each week. Be sure to include the number of repetitions you're performing with each exercise. This way, you'll have a concrete chart for your progress. Seeing how well you're doing can be truly inspiring and can keep you going when you find it difficult to go on.

Another effective motivational strategy is to join a group that engages in some kind of exercise. For instance, you might become a mall-walker or you might find a local square dance club to join. Other possibilities include hiking groups, golfing groups, softball teams, or even ping-pong teams. The fact that you are part of a social network will help to keep you motivated.

You might try psyching yourself out by using a computer screensaver which says, "Get moving." Or you might post a "get moving" sign on your refrigerator. In other words, you should be constantly reminded of the value of exercise. You might also invest in home exercise equipment such as a treadmill, elliptical trainer, or free weights. The amount of money you spend could be a powerful incentive for making sure that you use the equipment on a regular basis. You should also place the equipment in a prominent place so that you have to pass it often. After a while, you'll find no excuse not to exercise.

You might also consider investing in exercise videos or DVDs. These allow you the convenience of exercising in the privacy of your own home. They can also give you an electronic "exercise buddy" who can help keep you inspired even on rainy days when you don't feel like exercising at all.

Another effective idea is to place your athletic shoes near the door so that you are reminded of the need to walk rather than drive. You might also consider rewarding yourself for keeping with your exercise program. Your reward could be as elaborate as a cruise or as small as a treat from the dollar store. The idea is to make sure that your accomplishment is celebrated.

While we're on the topic of celebration, seriously consider throwing a party once you've reached an exercise milestone. You can serve nutritious snacks and beverages and even encourage your guests to come in their athletic wear in order to build upon the party's theme. Sharing your joy can help to motivate you to continue your physical activities.

It should be said that there is no right way to exercise. But you do need to make sure that whatever you do is effective and that you're sufficiently motivated to do it. By following just a few simple tips, you can ensure that your exercise routine is not just a fad, that it will continue over the long term. Remember that you may face setbacks from time to time, but that shouldn't stop you from continuing to try to reach your exercise goals.

Easy Weight Loss In Seven Simple Steps

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

Oh dear, oh dear, it&39;s that time of year but yet again! The holidays are over, Christmas has come and gone, and what is there to look forward to! Summer holidays I suppose, but they do seem such a long time away.

Anyway, I must confess that at the moment, even the thought of a holiday horrifies me, because after my over-indulgence during the festive season, the last thing that I want to be doing is even more eating and drinking.

So, if there is nothing to look forward to for now, and we are in the midst of the January depression, what on earth CAN we do to lift ouselves out of the blues at this time of year!

Here&39;s one thought for you, start right now and get fit. I suggest that not only will that make you feel heaps better, after a few weeks, you will even start to look forward to that summer vacation. Let me give you another more serious and compelling reason for this, and that is that we all shoud start to take our long term health much more seriously than we do at present.

At least that is my humble opinion. Did you know for instance that current statistics reveal that 75% of Americans are overweight and 40% are obese. That is just in the US, and I am prepared to hazard an educated guess that the rest of the developed world is not far behind. For those who desire to lose weight and obtain optimal health therefore, it can be overwhelming trying to figure out where to start.

From the Atkins Diet to the South Beach Diet, from low fat to low carb diets, there are numerous weight-loss plans to choose from. In addition, given conflicting information as to what works best, it can be difficult deciding what to do.

For those who have tried many diet plans with no success, it becomes more difficult and frustrating. Many people forget that a diet might work wonders for their friend but won&39;t work well for them. This is not necessarily because the diet is "bad", but because each body reacts differently. However, there is a way to lose weight that is easy, fast, and doesn&39;t involve deprivation or calorie counting.

It is important to address some background information about body genetics and why weight loss can be difficult before I start to discuss weight loss tips.

At the start of any diet, it is important to note that each person has a different body build. Some people are short and stout, while others are tall and thin. Some have big hips and shoulders, and others are short and very muscular. Genetics can determine body shape and a person&39;s natural build just as it can do eye color, hair color, skin color, and so on.

The good news is that genetics do not determine whether or not one will be fat, but will determine one&39;s body shape.

This means that not every woman can expect to be tall and thin like a Hollywood actress or supermodel such as Tyra Banks. Not every man can expect to be defined and muscular like The Rock. The goal really, in my opionion, is to be at a comfortable weight for one&39;s body shape and to feel good about it.

Having said all that, why is it that people are overweight! I have listed ten of the most common reasons below:-

1. Slow metabolism - People who are overweight have a hard time "burning off" their intake of food. As a result the fat is stored up in the body, rather than used.

2. Emotional eating - Those who struggle with weight often eat when stressed, or when other emotional upheavals are happening in their life.

3. Hormonal imbalances - This does mainly apply to the ladies, (complex creatures that we are!).

4. Eating portions - We can all be guilty of the syndrome that I like to call "greed not need". So watch out for those portion sizes.

5. A build up of toxins in the body - This can be due to too much junk food, candies, sodas, too much coffee, these can all contriubute to this.

6. Eating too late - Late-night eating can cause food to convert to fat a lot more easily, as well as making sleep more difficult.

7. A high susceptibility to growth hormones - These are the hormones which are given to animals to help them grow faster and larger. Some meat and dairy can have some residual growth hormones. These hormones can sometimes result in increased fat storage.

8. Not eating breakfast - This really does make your metabolism slow and sluggish.

9. Numerous diets - Going from diet to diet has a negative impact on the metabolism and causes weight loss to be much more difficult.

10. Food ingredients - The reasons why are amazing and beyond the scope of this article.

Here Are Seven Simple Steps For Easy Weight Loss

Now that there is a better understanding of body genetics, and why people have a tendency to be overweight, here are my tips for fast easy weight loss.

1: Drink some water first thing in the morning. Ideally you should drink eight ounces of distilled water, bottled water, or filtered water (not tap water).

2: Eat a big breakfast. Suggested foods to choose from are apples, bananas, rye bread with no sugar, plain yogurt, tuna, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, raw honey, and such like.

3: Drink distilled water throughout the day: I recommend that you try and drink at least eight glasses per day. 4: Walk non-stop one hour each day. This doesn&39;t have to be power walking, just walk at your own pace. Walking is one of the best forms of exercise you know!

5: Try and stop eating after 6:00 PM. This is very hard for many people, but do the best you can. You will be surprised at how much you benefit from this.

6: Do a candida cleanse. Candida is yeast overgrowth in the colon that can cause all kinds of health problems. Check online for "Candida Cleanse" or go to your local health food store.

7: Do a colon cleanse: This cleanse cleans out the digestive system, which is clogged and sluggish in many overweight people. Once again, check online or go to your local health food store.

More and more people worldwide are becoming overweight. Extra weight can result in many health issues and negatively impact your emotional state and self-esteem. However for those struggling with this problem, there is hope, because you can lose it and keep it off if you really want to.

Now that you have a understanding of body genetics and why you might be overweight, why not take some positive action today!

Commit to trying at least a few of the steps, you will be glad that you did.

Winning the Mental Game of Weight Loss and Weight Control

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

The following is a brief excerpt from the special report titled "The 3 Keys to Life-Long Health and Weight Control." The entire 24-page report is available to you free - request your copy at http://www.efflearn.com/3-keys.php.

Are you struggling to lose weight? Are your diet and exercise programs not working for you? Are you finding it difficult to stay motivated? While it's essential to have a plan for proper nutrition and regular exercise, there's a one more thing you need to lose weight fast and maintain your ideal body weight. You also need to win the "Mental Game" of weight control.

Most people ignore the importance of the Mental Game in achieving your ideal weight. Deeply engrained thoughts and beliefs are the source of bad eating and exercise habits and can result in a negative, overweight self-image. No diet or exercise program can succeed if your mind is working against you. To lose weight fast or maintain your ideal body weight, you need to combine proper nutrition and regular exercise with winning the Mental Game of weight control.

Love Comes First
Many people think, and often say aloud, "I'd love my body if I could just lose 10-20 pounds." The truth is that this thinking is completely backwards. If you don't love your body to begin with, it is next to impossible to improve your health or your weight. Think about it this way, why would you take care of something you don't already love?

Let's explore an analogy to help illustrate this point. Think about how you treat an old, beat-up car versus how you treat a brand new car just off the showroom floor. With an old "beater" you don't think twice about driving through the mud, over potholes, or fast over speed bumps. You don't mind spilling things on the seat and you put in the cheapest gas you can find. You feel fine abusing a car like this because you don't really care what it looks like.

With a new car, however, you drive very carefully, wash and wax it on a daily basis, and park far away just to avoid other cars. And when you see that first paint chip, within 2 minutes you're out there with the touch up paint and polish to keep it looking like new. You care about this car - you LOVE this car - and you take care of it to keep it looking and running new as long as possible.

It's the same thing with your body. Just like the old beat-up car, if you don't love your body, you probably won't take very good care of it. It becomes very easy to let yourself eat a whole box of cookies or "super-size" that order of fries. If you already "hate" your body, you feel like you can't really do any more damage, so why not have another cinnamon roll and watch some TV.

This reasoning applies to more than weight loss. It applies to all areas related to your health. Smoking is a great example. We know smoking does terrible things to our bodies. It destroys our lungs, causes cancer, and kills us. So how could somebody who truly loves their body do that to themselves?

Do You Treat Your New Car Better Than You Treat Yourself?
But what if your body is already in bad shape? It's kind of hard to love your body if it's already run down and out of shape, isn't it? Let's go back to the car analogy. It may be easy to love a shiny new car, but a little harder to love something that's old and broken down. That may be true, but think about when a rusted-out, beaten-up 1965 Mustang convertible ends up in the hands of an enthusiast. That person loves that car no matter what shape it's in. With wide eyes and ceaseless energy, he or she will spend a lot of time and effort restoring it until it's back in mint condition. When it's done, he or she is as proud as a parent with a newborn baby.

Why do enthusiasts do this? Where do they get the energy to restore something that to others appears to be a complete disaster and a hopeless cause? The answer is "LOVE!" Enthusiasts LOVE the objects of their attention. They see beauty where others don't. They see the promise and the possibilities. They can envision the future and know they can reach their goals.

Be Your Own Enthusiast
Your body is the same way. You can be an enthusiast for your own health and fitness. Love your body no matter what shape it's in. Become an enthusiast! Restore it and be proud of the work you do!

So, begin by loving yourself. Start today and you'll find it's much easier to succeed in your weight control efforts.

The problem is that for most of us it's very difficult to change the way we think about ourselves. This is not something that comes naturally to us. It requires overcoming years of programming we've received from our parents, friends, the media, and even ourselves.

Here are some steps you can take to change the way you view yourself and begin to win the Mental Game of weight control:

* Recognize your negative programming
* Replace your negative programming with positive affirmations
* Apply visualization techniques
* Use guided imagery

You can use these techniques on your own or utilize audio programs such as those developed by Effective Learning Systems to guide you in using these techniques.

More Tips To Improve Your Weight Loss

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

If you are like me you are probably totally sick of dieting because every time you stop the weight comes flooding back on and you just cant stop it!

I have put together 10 more weight loss tips to try and sway you away from the dieting run around and to try and put you on a more steady and healthy course of weight loss.

Lets have a look at them:

Move More - Take every opportunity to expend more energy. Don't drive if you can walk, don't walk if you can run. See activity as an opportunity rather than an inconvenience. General moving burns a big 70% of your daily calories so try to Eat Less and Move More.

We keep looking for a fast, magical, fat loss, weight loss, health and fitness miracle but what would happen if we applied the simple concept of eating less and moving more.

Eat less junk food, eat more fruit and veggie foods, Get some regular cardio based exercise, Get stronger to protect your body, improve your quality of life and turn your body into a fat burning machine and stick with it rather than giving up after one week.

Don't Diet - If you're thinking of going on a diet to lose those extra pounds think again. Long-term weight control through dieting is near impossible, for the simple reason that diets promote only short-term solutions.

On a diet you'll certainly look lighter on the scales, but in most cases this is because you've dumped a few pounds of body fluid, and not because you've lost any significant amount of body fat.

Diets Don't Work - One of the main reasons diets don't work is because they send the body into starvation mode - a survival mechanism for times when humans faced periods of famine.

Cutting back on our energy intake causes the body to lower its metabolic rate, which reduces its ability to burn fat. At the same time, hunger signals increase and we quickly start to crave high energy foods loaded with fats and sugars - the exact foods we are trying to do without!!!

Diets Put On Weight - Alarmingly, research has shown that repeated dieting actually makes it harder to lose weight and easier to put it on!!

This is because when you dump the diet and return to normal eating habits, the drop in metabolic rate caused by the diet means that your old eating habits actually represent excess in calories. Not only do you regain the fat stores just lost, but also you may even gain a bit extra.

Diets Are Unhealthy - A cycle of rapid weight loss followed by weight gain can lead to loss of lean tissue from your muscles and calcium from your bones.

It also strips the body of essential vitamins and minerals. Too little food means not enough energy for physical activity. Dieting causes your body to conserve energy, making results harder to achieve.

Diets Make Food The Enemy - Food provides nourishment and comfort. Diets can make you afraid to eat, depriving you of one of life's pleasures.

Going from one failed diet to the next can leave you feeling depressed and create a cycle in guilt battles against food. A Lifelong Plan - Regular physical activity and a healthy, balanced diet aren't as glamorous as the quick fixes, but they do get better results.

Start with one extra exercise session and one less fatty takeaway meal per week, and gradually work towards a lifelong plan for achieving your best weight.

Sticking With It - If you change the way you eat or exercise to lose weight, ask yourself this question. Can I see myself sticking to this routine for life!! If the answer is "No" then it's time to change what you're doing.

Be Realistic - A realistic weight loss plan is around one to two pounds per week. Fast weight losses are not fat loss but glycogen and water. If you lose weight quickly then you will probable return back to the weight at which you started as quickly as it was lost.

Healthy Eating - Increase the amount of fruits, vegetables, non-fat dairy products, whole grains and beans that you eat. Eliminate calorie-dense foods such as cookies, sugary desserts, chips, fries, pizza, candies, crackers etc.

Research on people who have successfully lost a lot of weight and kept it off long term, shows that the vast majority succeeded by consuming a low fat diet high in fibre coupled with strength training and cardiovascular activity.

Your goal is to start utilizing these tips into your everyday weight loss regime to start losing weight consistently and for good.

7 Simple Tips to Help Fulfill Your Weight Loss Resolutions

If You Are Not A Certified IDIOT and Want to Loss Your Weight INSTANTLY Then CICK HERE

>>  WEIGHT LOSS INSTANTLY - SIMPLE DIET PLAN THAT MAKES YOU CRAZY - CLICK HERE <<

"Goals...

...and resolutions."

Yes, it's that time of the year again.

Why is it that every time Jan 1st comes around, everyone starts to think about their new resolutions for the year? Or perhaps "new" isn't the correct word -- perhaps "recycled" is more apt? After all, isn't it true that for most people, "resolutions are made to be broken?"

Goals are a wonderful way to inspire us towards getting the things in life that we want, but more often than not, they simply end up unattained and we get frustrated (again) at the end of the year.

But it doesn't have to be so.

Really.

You can attain your goals or resolutions, but only IF you know how to go about setting them up correctly in the first place. And I'll give you a few useful pointers to help you get started on the right track...

- Begin with the end in mind. What's the end result you want to achieve? Do you want to lose weight? Or do you want to drop 1 dress size instead?

- Get specific and be realistic. It's not enough to just say "I want to lose weight." How much do you want to lose _exactly_? By when? A better goal is to say "I want to lose 11 pounds in 3 months." And make sure your goal is realistic. If you want to drop 27 pounds, it's not realistic to say you want to do that within the next 7 days, not to mention that it's not healthy to do that! Or if you've been putting on the weight slowly over the last 10 years, it's not quite realistic to say you want to go back to your weight 10 years ago within a month.

- Break it down into smaller and easier "baby steps." Let's say you want to lose 20 pounds. That seems like an insurmountable task, but it becomes easier to manage if you look at it as losing an average of 1 pound per week, over a course of 20 weeks. Now's that manageable! For you to lose a pound a week, you only need to create a calorie deficit of about 500 calories per day by controlling your diet and increasing your amount of exercises.

- Okay, now for the big "secret" -- the missing key to achieving your goals: Write down your "Why" i.e. what are you doing this for? Most people skip this step, and it's a primary reason why they never seem to achieve their goals. It's absolutely critical for you to write down the reasons why you want to achieve each specific goal. For example, if the goal is to "lose 20 pounds in 6 months," write down why you want to lose that weight. And here's another tip: Make it "personal and emotional." The more "emotional" the reason, the more likely you'll be driven towards the goal. So, let's say you've got kids. An example of a good "reason why" is "I know being overweight is a leading cause of many health problems -- I will lose the 20 pounds and get healthier so that I will not be a burden to my children, and be able to stay healthy long enough to attend my daughter's wedding and be there to carry my grandchildren." A ssuming all these things are important to you, of course. :-) But I'm sure you get the picture.

- "Write it down and put it up!" It's usually not good enough to just think of the goals in your head. You need to write down all your specific goals and the "reasons why," and then paste it up where you will look at it every day. Don't write it down on a notebook and chuck that inside the drawer. Instead, paste it up on your dressing table mirror, or anywhere else that is in plain sight. Remember, "out of sight, out of mind!"

- Do not be too ambitious. Aim for a loss of 1-2 pounds per week, at the max! Losing more than that amount is bad for you. And it'll most probably be caused by a loss of water and/or muscle, rather than your unwanted excess body fat.

- Be realistic and "go with the flow." The pounds didn't come on overnight, so don't expect them to disappear in a jiffy too. And sometimes the weight loss isn't as fast (or as much) as planned. But don't get stressed out, because stress will only add on the pounds. It's important that you don't think of the weight loss process as "all or nothing." What is the Best Exercise for Weight Loss?

It is a common misconception that aerobic exercise tones and firms muscles. Actually it accomplishes very little toning and firming. Resistance exercise (weight training) is where real toning and firming of muscles occurs.

Doing both aerobics and weight training is the optimal way to lose more fat and gain more muscle. If you are trying to lose weight, studies show that weight loss increases by 56 percent with aerobic and strength exercises combined.

Muscle may weigh more, but when you increase your muscle composition, the body is able to burn more fat, even when you are resting, because your metabolism is higher. A pound of muscle will use 350 to 500 calories per week to survive, while a pound of fat only needs about 14 calories per week. New studies have shown that building muscle helps your body fight disease better, too.

Strength training benefits everyone, no matter what age or sex, and is becoming recognized as an important component of fitness. Research is indicating that the muscle loss found in elderly people doesn?t come from age, but lack of activity. Even a young person who doesn?t get enough exercise can lose muscle mass and strength. Strength training, such as lifting weights or performing weight-resistance exercises, as little as twice a week can help maintain or increase muscle mass.

Strength training involving several sets of multiple repetitions using moderate weights will not result in huge muscles. Instead it builds bone mass and increases the metabolism, as well as toning and firming the muscles, giving a leaner look.

It is very important to do both aerobics and strength exercises. The aerobic exercises help your heart and lungs get stronger and help your body utilize oxygen more efficiently, which in turn helps with strength training and overall fitness. The strength exercise helps develop muscle, reduce body fat and maintain bone mass.

Aerobic Exercise is a type of exercise that elevates the heart rate and breathing for a continuous sustained period. This overloads the heart and lungs and causes them to work harder than at rest.

There are many options to choose from today. Bicycling, aerobic dance, swimming, walking, and stepping are all examples of aerobic exercise. Which ones to chose depends on your physical condition, your history, your interests and your goals. Many experts believe it is better to alternate between 2 or more types, to get a better workout.

There are two main types of aerobics- high impact and low impact. It is better to alternate between high impact aerobics (which are harder on the body and may cause more damage) and low impact aerobics, such as walking and swimming. This is called cross-training, and helps reduce the chance or injury and overuse of certain muscles.

You will want to perform aerobic exercises at least 20 minutes a day for at least 3 to 4 days a week. If you are trying to lose body fat, or your physical condition is very good, then you may want to work longer at it. Try exercising up to 40 to 60 minutes 5 to 6 days a week.

Remember there is no real need to go overboard. Moderate intensity is almost always better, and is more enjoyable. Low to moderate intensity is an especially good idea when starting out after a layoff or recovery from illness or injury, or if you are significantly overweight.

Warm-up and cool down is important to reduce discomfort and the chance of injury. Warm up by starting slow and gradually build up to your top speed. Then slow down again at the end of your workout.

The whole idea behind aerobic exercise is to get up and get moving! Find something you enjoy doing that keeps your heart rate elevated for a continuous time period and get moving to a healthier life.

Smart Tips to Lose Weight

If you are constantly trying to lose weight and find your self failing here are some practical tips that can really help you over the hurtle and finally losing a few pounds.

Eat breakfast This is a great tip, because many of us are always on the run in the morning and grow so hungry by the afternoon that we splurge for lunch. If you eat a balance breakfast such as yogurt, a fruit salad or a bagel for breakfast you will stop a lot of the craving, have energy in the morning and stop your afternoon splurge.

Make small goals Don't jump into your diet and state that if you don't lose twenty pounds in a month then you failed. Choose a goal that is realistic lets say 2 pounds per week. Not only is this goal realistic, it is also pretty good. I think any one would be happy losing 8 pounds in the course of a month.

Smaller portions and slower eating You don't need a full bowl of pasta or a half pound steak, control your portions and eat them slow. If you rush through your meal, you might not notice that you have been eating. Sit and slowly eat, relax and enjoy, you will find that you won't eat as much and fill full with less food.

So if you want to lose weight follow these practical tips and smartly trim the weight off.
